This Request Support Disclaimer explains important expectations, limitations, and conditions related to submitting a request for home support, repair consideration, accessibility assistance, project review, or any other form of help through JHM Homes of Honor.

By submitting a request form, referral, application, inquiry, photo, document, or communication to JHM Homes of Honor, you acknowledge and understand the following.

1. Submitting a Request Does Not Guarantee Assistance

Submitting a request for support does not guarantee approval, funding, repairs, materials, volunteer support, contractor work, project selection, or services of any kind.

All requests are subject to review and may depend on many factors, including but not limited to:

2. No Emergency Services

JHM Homes of Honor is not an emergency response agency.

We do not provide emergency shelter, crisis response, disaster response, medical care, utility restoration, eviction prevention, legal services, law enforcement assistance, fire response, or immediate safety intervention.

If you are experiencing an emergency or immediate danger, please contact 911, emergency services, local authorities, a licensed professional, or the appropriate crisis resource.

5. Property Ownership, Access, and Permission

Applicants may be asked to show that they own the home, have lawful authority to request work, or have permission from the property owner.

JHM Homes of Honor may require written consent before entering a property, taking photos, assessing repair needs, coordinating work, or involving contractors, vendors, volunteers, or partners.

If the applicant does not own the property, additional written approval may be required from the property owner, landlord, authorized representative, family member, estate representative, or other lawful decision-maker.

JHM Homes of Honor may decline requests when property ownership, authority, access, consent, or responsibility is unclear.

6. Documentation May Be Required

Applicants may be asked to provide documentation to support the request.

Providing false, misleading, incomplete, or unauthorized information may result in denial, removal from consideration, cancellation of assistance, or other appropriate action.

8. Scope of Support May Be Limited

JHM Homes of Honor may not be able to complete every requested repair or address every issue in a home.
​
Support may be limited to approved project categories, available resources, safety needs, budget, timing, and mission priorities.
​
JHM Homes of Honor may approve only part of a request, modify the scope, or recommend that the applicant seek another resource for needs outside the organization’s capacity.

9. Project Feasibility and Safety
​
Some repair needs may be too unsafe, too complex, too costly, or outside the organization’s available resources.

JHM Homes of Honor may decline or pause a project because of:

Mold, asbestos, pests, biohazards, or environmental concerns

JHM Homes of Honor may determine who is permitted to participate in a project and what work may be performed.

Contractors or vendors may require separate agreements, estimates, licensing verification, insurance verification, scope approval, permits, inspections, or other documentation.

Volunteers may be limited to non-skilled, supervised, or approved support tasks.

JHM Homes of Honor reserves the right to change contractors, vendors, volunteers, schedules, project scope, or participation when necessary.

11. No Guarantee of Timeline

JHM Homes of Honor does not guarantee that requests will be reviewed, approved, scheduled, started, or completed by a specific date.

No applicant is required to publicly share a personal story in order to request support, unless a specific program or sponsorship requirement is clearly explained and agreed to.
