Â
Unless a donation is formally accepted as restricted in writing, donations may be used where most needed to support the mission and operations of JHM Homes of Honor.
2. General Donations
General donations are contributions made to support the overall mission of JHM Homes of Honor.
General donations are not tied to a specific person, property, repair, project, neighborhood, or outcome unless JHM Homes of Honor has clearly approved and documented that restriction in writing.
General donations may be used at the discretion of JHM Homes of Honor leadership for mission-aligned purposes, including programs, projects, operations, outreach, administrative needs, and organizational sustainability.
3. Project-Specific Sponsorships or Contributions
JHM Homes of Honor may offer opportunities for donors, sponsors, businesses, churches, or community groups to support specific projects, repair categories, campaigns, or community impact efforts.
A project-specific sponsorship or contribution is not considered formally approved until JHM Homes of Honor confirms the sponsorship or restriction in writing.
JHM Homes of Honor reserves the right to review, approve, decline, redirect, or modify project-specific sponsorship opportunities based on:
Â
-
Project eligibility

Safety concerns

Recipient or property approval

Available resources

Â
If a project changes, is delayed, becomes ineligible, is completed under budget, or cannot move forward, JHM Homes of Honor may use the donation for a similar project, related repair need, or another mission-aligned purpose unless otherwise required by law or written agreement.
4. No Guarantee of Assistance or Project Selection
A donation does not guarantee that a specific person, family, homeowner, property, project, repair type, or community will receive support from JHM Homes of Honor.
Submitting a donation, sponsorship inquiry, recommendation, referral, or request for support does not create a right to receive services, repairs, funding, project approval, or organizational assistance.
All support requests and projects are subject to review, eligibility, available funding, organizational capacity, leadership approval, safety considerations, contractor/vendor availability, and applicable requirements.
5. Donation Processing
Donations made through the JHM Homes of Honor website may be processed through Wix, payment processors, banks, or other third-party service providers.
These providers may have their own:

JHM Homes of Honor is not responsible for the internal policies, technical issues, fees, or security practices of third-party platforms or payment processors.
6. Processing Fees
Online donations may be subject to processing fees charged by payment processors, website platforms, banks, or other third-party services.
These fees may reduce the net amount received by JHM Homes of Honor unless the donor chooses an option to cover processing fees, if available.
JHM Homes of Honor may use a portion of donations for reasonable administrative, operational, fundraising, compliance, and processing costs necessary to carry out the organization’s mission.
7. Recurring Donations
If recurring donations are offered, donors are responsible for reviewing the recurring donation amount, frequency, payment method, and cancellation options before submitting the donation.
Donors may request assistance with recurring donation changes or cancellations by contacting JHM Homes of Honor.
However, some changes may need to be completed directly through the payment platform or donor account used to set up the recurring gift.
JHM Homes of Honor is not responsible for donor errors, duplicate submissions, forgotten recurring payments, or issues caused by third-party payment systems, except where correction is required by law or approved by the organization.
8. Refund Policy

Donors should not assume a donation is tax-deductible unless JHM Homes of Honor has confirmed its applicable tax-exempt status and provided appropriate acknowledgment information.

12. Sponsorships
Sponsorships may involve financial support, in-kind support, business participation, project support, event support, or community partnership support.
Submitting a sponsorship inquiry or donation does not automatically create a sponsorship agreement, advertising relationship, partnership, endorsement, or naming right.
Formal sponsorships may require written approval, agreed-upon recognition terms, logo permissions, contribution details, and any applicable sponsor guidelines.
JHM Homes of Honor reserves the right to approve, decline, remove, or limit sponsor recognition if the sponsorship is not aligned with the organization’s mission, values, policies, reputation, or legal obligations.
13. Donor Recognition
JHM Homes of Honor may recognize donors, sponsors, volunteers, contractors, businesses, churches, or community partners through the website, newsletters, social media, printed materials, events, impact reports, or project updates.

14. Restricted Gifts
A restricted gift is a donation given for a specific approved purpose.
JHM Homes of Honor must review and accept any restriction before the gift is treated as restricted. Restrictions must be consistent with the organization’s mission, capacity, compliance requirements, and current needs.
JHM Homes of Honor may decline restricted gifts that are too difficult to administer, outside the mission, legally problematic, unclear, conditional in an inappropriate way, or inconsistent with organizational priorities.
